Don't be nervous!!! There's nothing to be nervous about! As long as you don't have a criminal record, and you don't say something in the interview like - "Geez, if that kid was placed with me I'd just give him the spanking of his life!" then you should be great! Just be honest and show them who your family is.
And admitting depression is not going to make any difference. They may address it in the interview, but only enough to make sure it isn't going to interfere with your ability to take foster kids. And seriously, the home inspection - not a big deal. Good luck!!!!

I bet that the religion thing wont be as big a deal as you think.
Same with the depression.
Don't let them scare you! They'll meet you and know that you have good intentions. And when they come to your house, they will walk through with you just to make sure that it is safe and tidy. They wont be white gloving it. And when they are with your kids, they will be watching how you interact with each other. That's what is was like when we had our homestudy done for adoption anyway. I assume it's not that different.
